This project involved the conversion of a brick stable building to a single dwelling. The building was in a derelict state and suffering structural movement due to a 600mm brick culvert running beneath the building.
Careful planning ensured that the existing openings could be retained and the cramped hay loft accessed to make the maximum use of the available space. Attention to detailing ensured that the external brick details were retained and the roof structure exposed internally whilst the single skin external brick walls and roof were insulated to meet current Building Regulations.
